“Very clean and extremely helpful staff. I believe it is fairly obvious, but to climb either the front stairs, or follow the road to park a vehicle at the side of the hotel (beside red postbox) is fairly challenging for those of an elderly / infirm position. Anyone younger, it is a great workout routine! I WOULD BOOK this hotel again. Great area and nice short walk into town where you have everything you need.”

I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi”

“Fabulous place to stay. Bedrooms very high standard. Breakfast pre ordered and delivered to your room at the requested time. You can change your choice each day but we kept it the same. Staff were very friendly and checked with us that everything was ok and did we need anything more. If we are this way again I will definitely book this again. Parking was easy as the main street has loads of parking.”

“Luckily our stay was during the good weather, the pool and sauna was good but, think it could have been quite bleak if it had been rainy. Our room looked tired and the 2 seater couch was very grubby and the cushions were sunken. The restaurant looked like a staff canteen with all the formica tables and the food was very disappointing, no Michelin chef here! The food was cold and bland, breakfast was not cooked to order, that was also cold. I ordered porridge one morning , the waitress assured……

“Pet friendly is an understatement. The staff were so accommodating and went way above to make us and our dog Blue so welcome from his welcome pack to the fuss made over him it made our visit truly special. Massive thanks to Lucie, Taylor and Ray for looking after us and the old dog. Breakfast was brilliant and the I would highly recommend the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. Probably the spiciest and best I've tasted.”

“I stayed here for two nights by myself. The guy who owns the place is friendly and put on a nice continental breakfast (salmon, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and brewed coffee). The bed was comfortable too. The building and furniture are pretty dated though and in need of upgrading. My room door lock was also temperamental. However, that said it was clean overall and the host mentioned he’s actively renovating, which is good to hear as it’s got potential to be a beautiful building……
